IS SELF-POSITIONING REQUIRED BEFORE BEING AN EMPLOYEE?

smentor.ac.vn – Dr. Phan Huynh Anh proposed and developed a lesson plan to teach Self-positioning skills for students at the University of Economics in Ho Chi Minh City on August 8, 2019.

Currently, universities and colleges, in addition to concentrating on enhancing the quality of professional academic education, make soft skills the primary subject to enable students not only to have professional knowledge but also basic knowledge, able to behave as students.

What are soft skills?

Soft skills (also known as Social Practical Abilities) constitute essential skills in human existence that include: social skills, communication, leadership, teamwork, time management skills, relaxation, crisis management, creativity, and innovation, etc.

“Soft” skills are primarily those that are associated with human personality, are not professional, cannot be touched, and do not represent specific personality traits. They determine your capacity to be a leader, listener, and so on. In the opposite meaning, “hard” skills like education, experience, and competence as a negotiator or conflict resolution will frequently appear on your Curriculum vitae.

The Vietnam Institute of Research and Application of Polytechnics (SMENTOR INSTITUTE) understands the importance of teaching soft skills to students, so it has bothered to research many lesson plans specializing in teaching soft skills, in which the skill of SELF-POSITIONING is a very significant skill for students because it not only helps students to orient their future but also to plan their career within 3 years, 5 years, and 10 years.
